Overview
TouchpointPRO’s new KDS includes several updates that will make your staffs daily work more efficient and easier, including a new look with color & font size changes, Order Notes in the footer, emphasising if order is late, you can even claim deferred orders early on the KDS and much more.

Order footer & order wrapping
With Touchpoint’s new UI more orders fit on the screen!
Order footer
The order footer shows the optional Order Note and it’s hosting the action button to move the order to the next station.
In this example the order is in the state “Ordered” and due to be made.
Order wrapping
Long orders now wrap to the next column, leading to a more efficient use of the available space on the KDS.
Note the torn paper look!
New Item segment look
New Item segment look helps improving order accuracy and speed.

Note also font size changes in all order segments!
Let's take a tour through the KDS
Color & Size
Change the Font Size to Large or Extra-Large. All text and Order Cards are bigger.
KDS Settings > Color & Size > choose Large
Try it out. You will see the difference.
Station Setup
Filter Orders which should not show up on KDS
Basic Idea: Do you have more than one machine making drinks? If so, do those machines only make drinks for one side of the shop?
Let's set up a KDS showing only orders from Left Cashier and Linebusters.
Open Setup by tapping the hamburger icon (top left corner) > Station Data > Edit (top right)
Drag & Drop Registers whose orders should not show on this KDS down to "Not Visible". In this case we want to hide orders from "Right POS" and "Mobile" orders.
This KDS will now show order coming from Left POS, Linebuster 1.
Group By State (optional)
Set up your KDS station by defining which Order State is displayed and which Prep Stations excluded.
- Menu > Station Data
- Group by State:
Toggle to define KDS view based on Order State - Select Order States for your KDS view, in this example “Ordered”
- Toggle to show delayed orders early
- You want to exclude Items from the Cooler or Extras from most of your KDS stations.
