Rolling EOD (End of Day)

The Basic Idea: Let your Touchpoint help you preventing multi-day or -week shifts and closing forgotten orders.

Set up and edit EOD in Web Admin > Operations > TouchpointPRO > Rolling EOD

Prior to the implementation of the automated EOD process it was possible that a shift could be left open for multiple days or weeks.

The rolling End Of Day (EOD) process will

  • finalizes orders left on the KDS by marking them as done,
  • close open or paused transactions to a tender type labeled EOD,
  • closes shifts left open.

The automated EOD process DOES NOT close cash drawers.

IMPORTANT: EOD does not remove the responsibility of adjusting shifts in the stand since shifts are only closed when they exceed 24 hours. EOD is not a substitute for active management of all shifts daily but an additional convenience.
