When the reader stops working on one, or some, of your devices, then there are a few steps you should try first:
- Ensure that the volume is not muted on the iPad, by hitting the volume rocker up to increase it.
- Hit the home button at the bottom of the iPad, navigate to Settings -> TouchpointPRO, and ensure that the Microphone permission is enabled.
- While still in the iOS Settings, navigate to Privacy -> Microphone, and ensure Touchpoint is enabled.
- Swap the reader with known good from another iPad. If the issue moves its the reader, if it stays then it's the iPad.
- Is there a jacket on the iPad, remove jacket and test. If it works then the jacket is interfering with the reader.
If this still is not working, this iPad can be used as a KDS.
One note, you can sign up for Touchpoint Zero Contact payment services to have another method of payment on the iPads for when there may be an issue with PayPal readers or the paypal service itself.
