This article will be guiding you through the setup of your new Star USB Printer. The first steps are going to be connecting the printer to an iPad, followed by the setup required within the Touchpoint Web Admin software.

**Please note** The connection from the printer to the iPad will charge the iPad as well.

When you receive the printer and get it unpacked, you will see a few different ports on the back of the printer.

Please follow this guide on connecting the system for the iPad.

1. Login to Web Admin by going to https://c1.tchpt.com and then entering your phone number. Once the code you receive via text is entered we can select the store that this printer is connected at.

2. We want to navigate to Operations, Equipment, and then Printers. Once we are in Printers we want to hit Add Printer Manually

3. In this screen we want to hit the drop down menu beside Printer Type, and then choose Device Connected Printer.

4. You can now choose what register the printer will be assigned to, this is done under Operations, Equipment, Registers.

5. Hit edit beside the register you want to add the printer to, then hit the drop down beside Printer and select the one just added.

6. Now we need to enable the ability to use a hardwired printer on the iPad in the Touchpoint Software. Open the app and sign into the software, go into the menu in the top left (Three bars) and then choose DCPrinters. Just before enabling, make sure all connections are tight and in the correct spot. Once that is done we want to touch the switch to "Enable routing print jobs to printers connected directly to this device".

7. The Touchpoint App will now start to scan for the printer connected to it. Once the scanning has completed it will display the printer in a list on the left. Hit the toggle switch to choose the correct printer that was setup in Web Admin.

8.  After the printer on the left is selected, it will load the physical printer on the right side of the screen. As per the image above, hit the i beside the printer and then it will load some width options (Leave the default) and hit Print Test Page to make sure its setup correctly.

After the setup is complete you will see a colored button, below shows what each color means:

Gray = disabled | Yellow = enabled but no physical printer associated | Green = enabled & linked to physical printer

Once the setup is complete and the button is green you are all set!
